System Overview of The Dog Guard® System

Dog Guard® Out-of-Sight Fencing is a safe, affordable alternative to traditional pet fences, and uses a veterinarian-approved combination of animal training and state-of-the art electronics to safely train your pet where it can and cannot go.

Transmitters

Dog Guard® offers three different types of Transmitters that are designed for Outdoor and Indoor use. 

T-4 Outside Transmitter

The T-4 transmitter features user friendly
lights and audible sounds to let you know that the transmitter
is working properly and when there is a problem with the signal
field.

• When the T-4 transmitter is set in the encoded mode, an ID code makes the system immune to all interference from stray signals and provides “DUAL ZONES”, in the signal field. The dual zone establishes two signal fields. In the first signal field, the pet receives a warning level stimulus that has been preset on the front of the T-4 transmitter. Its purpose is to warn the pet to turn back. Should the pet enter the second signal field, the receiver will automatically increase to a stronger stimulus.

The GREEN POWER LIGHT is on all the time when the system is powered.

The RED LOOP LIGHT is on when the loop is intact. If there is a line break, the light will go off and an audible alarm will sound from inside the T-4 transmitter.

The YELLOW FAULT LIGHT comes on if the T-4 transmitter takes a power surge or lightning hit and an audible alarm will sound from inside the T-4 transmitter.

• The CORRECTION LEVEL ADJUSTMENT works only in the encoded mode. There are 32 LEVELS OF STIMULATION TO CHOOSE FROM. This will set the amount of stimulation the pet will receive in the first
  signal field.

  

TS-5 Outside Transmitter

TS-5 Features

The TS-5 transmitter is a smaller/low-powered transmitter for homes with an acre or less of yard space. It features a user friendly light and audible sound to let you know that the transmitter is working properly or if there is a problem with the signal field.

It has enhanced lightning protection with fuses that automatically reset themselves.

• The TS-5 transmitter is only available in the non-encoded mode.
• The TS-5 transmitter features key ways for easy mounting.
• The TS-5 transmitter has two frequency settings to accommodate side by side installations.
• The TS-5 transmitter can be used in conjunction with the T-4 transmitter to create multi-inside or outside loops. This will keep your pet from designated areas in the home or yard. Should one of the TS-5 designated loops be broken, the outside perimeter loop will stay on because the loops are on separate circuits.
• The TS-5 transmitter has a LIFE TIME warranty.
• The RANGE CONTROL adjuster is recessed to prevent unwanted tampering. The field range can be easily adjusted by using a small screwdriver
• GREEN LIGHT serves as a power light, wire break and surge indicator. If there is a wire break, it will flash with an audible alarm. The same holds true in the event of a surge
• The TERMINAL BLOCK features easy to use external loop wire hookup connectors.

Indoor Pet Containment Systems

Dog Guard’s indoor pet containment solutions provide a wireless dog fence for your home, and are ideal for cat and dogs of all ages and sizes and may be used to train your pets in a variety of indoor situations, such as:

• Restrict your pets to certain rooms of your home or apartment
• Keep pets off of your furniture, including beds, sofas, antiques, etc.
• Prevent your pets from getting into the trash or other areas of your home or apartment

RT-2 Room Transmitter

Features

The RT-2 room transmitter is a small versatile device that is designed for containing or restraining pets in or from designated areas inside of the home. It can be used in the home, garage or basement. The RT-2 room transmitter is portable and can travel with you and your pet

• The AC Adapter has a 10-foot long cord, so it should accommodate most outlet configurations in the home.
• The RT-2 room transmitter radiates a 360° signal up to 8 feet.
• The RT-2 room transmitter is available in two frequencies.
• It has non-encoded or encoded mode settings.

DG 9 XT Receiver

Features

The DG 9 XT receiver is designed to handle the “medium to stubborn and tough-to-train” dogs. It works well with dogs that are runners such as Huskies, Labs and hunting dogs.

• This receiver is waterproof and has a LIFE TIME warranty provided it was not damaged or abused.Dog Chews are covered under the LIFE TIME warranty. Your Dog Guard professional dealer will show you ways to prevent dog chews.
• The fail safe feature shuts the receiver down 30 seconds after it has been activated. The receiver will reset itself once it has been removed from the signal field for 3 seconds. This feature assures that your pet will not be continuously stimulated should he become caught in the signal field.
• The DG 9 XT receiver has the highest pulsating stimulus in the industry. Your Dog Guard professional dealer will adjust the stimulus to your pet’s temperament.
• This receiver can be ordered in the encoded mode or in the non-encoded mode; with or without a one-second delay.
• The receiver in the encoded mode is immune to stray signals and provides up to 32 levels of initial stimulation that is controlled at the transmitter. When the pet enters the first signal field, it will receive a warning tone or stimulation. Should the pet stray into the second signal zone, the receiver will automatically increase to a stronger stimulus. The maximum stimulus can be controlled by using shunts.
• When ordered with a one-second delay, the pet will receive a one-second audible warning prior to stimulation; if he does not retreat from the signal field, he will receive a stimulus.
• It is available in two frequencies.

We know that today’s world is a hectic place. We know that our customers don’t always have time to worry about when their pet’s Dog Guard battery needs to be replaced. We know how to help!

You can have your pet’s battery mailed to you every 4 months for a whole year! Every 120 days, we will automatically mail your dog’s battery directly to your home.

We can also customize a battery plan that meets your unique needs.
